The Apollo consists of a tape transport and an Outboard Power Supply, (OPS) for a two chassis tour de force.
The OPS features a sturdy aluminum chassis with MDF bracing and damping materials inside to isolate the transformers and the AC TO DC conversion devices. The AC power from the wall is converted to DC Power and since the tape transport has all DC motors everything in the tape transport runs on DC power including the dual mono head amps and EQ stage!
There is also seperation of church and state with a transformer to run the tape transport and seperate power supply for the head amps.
There are onboard dual mono pure Class A gain stages with fully differential output. The finest of hand chosen and matched audiophile quality components are used throughout the audio circuitry.
